⛰️ Trolls, Turns & Timeless Wonder: A Day from Ålesund to Trollstigen

Our day trip from Ålesund to Trollstigen was exactly that: a full-bodied experience of Norway’s majestic fjords, mythical lore, and the thrill of navigating 11 dramatic switchbacks in a 50-passenger coach.

We began in Ålesund, where the Art Nouveau architecture whispered elegance and the air held a crisp promise of adventure. As our bus climbed into the mountains, the temperature was cool and invigorating—perfect for awakening the senses. With each turn, the landscape unfurled like a storybook: waterfalls tumbling from cliffs, ravines carved by time, and peaks that seemed to pierce the sky.

The road to Trollstigen is not for the faint of heart. Eleven hairpin bends—each more daring than the last—challenged our driver’s skill and thrilled every passenger. The sheer scale of the route, carved into the mountainside, made us feel like we were part of something ancient and grand.
